What is human Grounding?
In essence, grounding connects the human body, which is bioelectrical, to the Earth’s electrical potential. This occurs when your skin directly touches the Earth, without any artificial barriers.
When grounding, negative ions flow into the body. Despite their name, negative ions are beneficial and found abundantly in nature, such as at beaches, waterfalls, and during thunderstorms. These ions are associated with purity. In contrast, positive ions, which come from pollution, cigarette smoke, radiation, and dust, can be harmful. By absorbing negative ions, we can counteract the damaging effects of positive ions.
When you stand barefoot on the Earth, you create a continuous electrical connection with the planet, balancing your body’s charge. This same effect is achieved by standing on the grounding mat.
